1. Purpose of the Website
TradeBase.ie is an online directory platform that enables tradespeople and contractors operating in Ireland (“Tradesmen”) to advertise their services for a fee. The Website also enables members of the public (“Users”) to search for Tradesmen based on location and services offered.
The Website is an advertising and directory platform only. We:
- Do not employ, vet, or endorse any Tradesman listed.
- Do not act as an agent, broker, contractor, or intermediary.
- Are not a party to any contract or arrangement entered into between a User and a Tradesman.
Any agreement for services is made solely between the User and the relevant Tradesman.
2. Submission of Business Information
Tradesmen who wish to advertise on the Website must submit their business details through our listing submission process and pay the applicable fee. Creation of a user account on the Website is not required.
By submitting business information, you warrant and represent that:
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You are authorised to provide the information submitted.
- All information provided is true, accurate, current, and not misleading.
- The listing complies with all applicable laws and regulations in Ireland.
Tradesmen are responsible for ensuring that their listing information remains accurate and up to date. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to amend, suspend, or remove any listing that breaches these Terms or applicable law.
3. Listing Fees and Payments
All listing fees:
- Are payable in advance.
- Are displayed prior to purchase.
- Are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to revise pricing at any time. Any change in fees will apply to new listing periods and will not affect the duration of an already active paid listing.
Failure to pay applicable fees may result in removal or suspension of the listing without notice.
4. Listing Content Standards
Tradesmen are solely responsible for the content of their listings, including business descriptions, qualifications, images, certifications, and contact details.
Listings must not:
- Contain false, misleading, or deceptive information.
- Include defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful material.
- Infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
- Misrepresent qualifications, licensing, or insurance status.
We reserve the right, without notice, to edit, refuse, suspend, or remove any content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.
5. User Obligations
Users agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
Users must not:
- Use the Website in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, servers, or systems.
- Use automated means (including bots, crawlers, or scrapers) to extract data without our prior written consent.
- Interfere with the proper functioning or security of the Website.
Users are solely responsible for carrying out their own due diligence before engaging any Tradesman, including verifying qualifications, references, and insurance where appropriate.

We do not verify all information contained in listings and make no representations or warranties regarding:
- The accuracy or completeness of listing content.
- The competence, qualifications, licensing, or insurance of any Tradesman.
- The quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any services provided.
The Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:
- We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss or damage arising out of or in connection with use of the Website.
- We shall not be liable for any dispute, loss, claim, damage, or injury arising from any interaction, agreement, or transaction between a User and a Tradesman.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful under Irish law.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Website, including text, graphics, logos, layout, design, and software, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
No part of the Website may be reproduced, distributed, modified, or commercially exploited without our prior written consent.
By submitting listing content, Tradesmen grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, and display such content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and marketing the Website.
9. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with:
- The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”); and
- The Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.
By using the Website, you acknowledge and agree to such processing.
10. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Website, or remove listings, at our sole discretion where:
- These Terms are breached;
- Information provided is false or misleading;
- Continued publication may expose us to legal or reputational risk.
Termination shall not affect any accrued rights or liabilities.

We may amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Continued use of the Website after publication of amended Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
